Meet the Education Team

Malcolm has worked in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. He was initially a teacher of science and mathematics, moving from the state system in Queensland to commence SDA employment at Longburn Adventist College, NZ. He has been a teacher, school principal (Mackay, Darling Downs, Lilydale, Hills), lecturer in teacher education at Avondale, as well as VP (Learning & Teaching) at Avondale and Principal at Fulton Adventist University College.

His PhD is in teacher and school effectiveness, which has been an ongoing interest over the course of his career. Meeting with teachers and school leaders seeking to maximise their effectiveness and applying their talents to advance the ministry of teaching is a lifelong passion.

Malcolm is married to Marcia; they have a combined family of 5 children and 7 grandchildren. They enjoy motorbike touring, travel and catching up with family and friends.

Hi I’m Trudy!

I am blessed to be the newest addition to the Education Team at the SPD. I have a Bachelor of Business and I am currently studying a Master of Project Management. I am passionate about assisting in upcoming projects in the Education Department to transform and share God’s word across the Pacific.

When I am not in the office I enjoy travelling, playing soccer and spending time with my church family and extended family between my hometowns of Newcastle, NSW and Upper Mendi, SHP Papua New Guinea.
