Canoes, Crocodiles and Christ
This is the true story of Haru Hariva, who pioneered God’s message, bringing the light of Jesus and His love to many remote villages in Papua New Guinea. Facing challenges and dangers, he witnessed miracles as God made hidden crocodiles visible, sent His angel to prepare the hearts of remote villagers, and fulfilled His promise that “when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you” (Isaiah 43:2).
Dr David McClintock grew up in Papua New Guinea as the son of missionary parents and spoke Tok Pisin before he spoke English. He graduated from Avondale College with Theology and Teaching degrees and completed a Masters and Doctorate at Andrews University. David, his wife Glenda and their two boys were called to serve in Papua New Guinea in 1983. Their daughter was born while they were there. David has served as a teacher, principal and education director and currently oversees Adventist Education for the South Pacific Division. Gathering stories of God’s providence and guidance in people’s lives is one of his passions.
